RTR Accountant

• Maintain accurate general ledger accounting, including Cash & Bank, Fixed Assets, Intercompany, and related transactions.
• Perform month‑end close activities independently, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, clear open items on a timely basis, and follow up on unreconciled items with stakeholders.
• Monitor and perform periodic control checks to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with internal control requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting queries, discrepancies, and process issues.
• Ensure adherence to internal accounting policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
• Apply strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills using a “Stop, Think, and Ask” approach across RTR activities.
• Demonstrate conceptual understanding of end‑to‑end RTR processes, month‑end close, systems, and best practices.
• Perform complex reconciliations and analyze exceptions, providing recommendations and guidance for resolution.
• Execute regular, complex, or exceptional month‑end and year‑end close activities, supporting overall team delivery.
• Conduct variance analysis on a periodic basis and ensure accuracy through analysis and follow‑ups.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and participate in initiatives such as system implementations, transitions, or special projects.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting, with a focus on Record‑to‑Report (R2R).
• Strong knowledge of month‑end close processes and RTR activities, including GL, Fixed Assets, Intercompany, Payroll, Inventory, and reconciliations.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with OTC, PTP, and business teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What Will Put You Ahead

 

• Hands‑on experience with SAP ERP and advanced Excel.
• Exposure to tools such as BlackLine, OneStream, or similar close and reconciliation platforms.
• Experience in domestic accounting and audit support.
• Experience transitioning or setting up accounting processes within a Shared Services delivery model.
