Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Payroll Manager
to lead end-to-end
US and Canada payroll operations
across multiple business entities. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate,
compliant, and timely payroll processing while managing a high-performing
payroll team. This role requires deep expertise in US Federal/State and
Canadian Federal/Provincial payroll regulations, payroll taxation, statutory
compliance, audits, and payroll operations. The Payroll Manager will partner
closely with HR, Finance, Tax, and external vendors to deliver operational
excellence and drive continuous process improvements.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee end-to-end payroll processing for
US and Canada
employees.

Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely processing across multiple
business units.

Manage payroll activities including timekeeping, payroll calculations,
benefits, garnishments, statutory deductions, off-cycle payrolls, and
employee lifecycle changes.

Ensure compliance with
US Federal, State, Canadian Federal, and Provincial payroll legislation
, tax regulations, and corporate policies.

Review payroll data, payroll registers, variance reports, and approve
payroll before final processing.

Lead payroll audits, statutory filings, remittances, and compliance reviews.

Partner with HR, Finance, Tax, Benefits, and external payroll vendors to
resolve payroll-related issues.

Maintain payroll systems, master data, documentation, and audit trails.

Prepare payroll reports, metrics, and management dashboards.

Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and continuous
process improvements.

Lead, coach, mentor, and develop the payroll team while driving operational
excellence and employee engagement.

Ensure adherence to payroll calendars and critical payroll deadlines.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Human
Resources, or a related discipline.

10+ years
of end-to-end payroll experience.

Strong experience in
US Payroll and/or Canada Payroll
.

Minimum
5 years of people management/team leadership experience
.

Experience managing payroll for multiple legal entities or business units.
