Position Overview
The Lead – Mechanical Engineering will guide day-to-day mechanical design execution, provide
technical support to engineers and designers, and help ensure deliverables meet customer, project,
quality, and manufacturing requirements. This role requires strong people development and
technical judgment, collaboration, attention to detail, and the ability to support team capability while
delivering assigned engineering work.
What the Candidate Will Do
 Lead mechanical design execution for assigned projects, products, or work packages from
concept through release.
 Support designers and engineers by providing technical guidance, coaching, and timely review
feedback.
 Coordinate with project management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality
teams to resolve technical and execution issues.
 Apply design standards, customer specifications, fabrication requirements, and lessons learned
to improve design outcomes.

 Identify opportunities to simplify work processes, reduce rework, improve quality, and
strengthen standardization.
 Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and technical decisions clearly to
stakeholders.
Requirements
 Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
 10+ years of experience in mechanical design, product engineering, equipment design, or
engineered-to-order execution with minimum of 3+ Years in managing a team
 Ability to guide engineers or designers and support team development through coaching and
knowledge sharing.
 Strong communication, collaboration, planning, and problem-solving skills.
 Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and commitment to
quality.
 Preferable Hands-on experience preparing or reviewing engineering drawings, 3D models,
design calculations, and technical documentation.
 Exposure to CAD, PLM tools
 Working knowledge of fabrication practices, manufacturability, quality requirements, and
engineering change processes.
What Will Put the Candidate Ahead
 Experience with combustion equipment, emissions-control systems, oil and gas, petrochemical,
process equipment, or industrial equipment design.
 Exposure to global engineering execution, cross-functional project delivery, or manufacturing
support.
 Experience using design automation, CAD standards, engineering templates, or continuous-
improvement methods to improve quality and productivity.
 Demonstrated ability to mentor others and influence technical decisions across teams.
 Familiarity with applicable industry codes, customer specifications, and design-for-
manufacturing practices.
