Your Job
To lead and mentor the ECAD and Component Engineering
team in developing, validating, and maintaining
high-quality electronic component libraries while
driving process excellence, collaboration, and
innovation.
Our Team
You will be part of the
Global Engineering Services (GES)
division, supporting the
Advanced Engineering Team
. We collaborate across design, procurement, and
manufacturing to maintain robust ECAD libraries and enable
efficient, cost-effective engineering solutions.
What You Will Do

Lead the creation, validation, and maintenance of ECAD
libraries, ensuring schematic symbols, footprints, and
3D models meet company and industry standards.

Mentor junior engineers by providing technical guidance,
design best practices, and hands-on training in ECAD
tools like Allegro and Altium.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including PCB
Design, Component Engineering, and Procurement to ensure
timely and accurate part creation and validation.

Review and approve complex component requests, ensuring
alignment with electrical, mechanical, and
manufacturability constraints.

Drive process improvements in ECAD workflows,
automation, and quality assurance to enhance
productivity and reduce turnaround time.

Support design teams in resolving component-related
issues, obsolescence risks, and alternate part
identification.

Maintain and monitor ECAD database health, ensuring
compliance with PCN updates, lifecycle changes, and
parametric data accuracy.

Contribute to cost optimization initiatives by
identifying alternate components and improving library
reuse efficiency.

Foster a culture of continuous learning by conducting
knowledge-sharing sessions, tool training, and
innovation discussions within the team.

Act as a key technical point of contact for complex ECAD
challenges, ensuring design integrity, reliability, and
alignment with organizational goals
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in ECAD
library development and component engineering

Strong expertise in creating schematic symbols, PCB
footprints, and 3D models

Proven experience with ECAD tools such as Cadence
OrCAD, Allegro, Altium Designer, or equivalent

Solid understanding of component validation and
lifecycle management processes

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
including design, sourcing, and procurement

Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on
continuous process improvement

Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior team

Familiarity with industry compliance standards such as
