Kotak Mahindra Prime Limited (KMPL), a subsidiary of Kotak Mahindra Bank,
is one of India's leading vehicle finance companies, offering financing
solutions for new cars, used cars, two-wheelers, and loan against
property. The Compliance function plays a critical role in ensuring
adherence to RBI regulations, statutory requirements, and internal
governance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure timely filing of statutory and regulatory returns with RBI and
other regulatory authorities, including KYC/AML Risk Based Assessment
(RBA), DNBS returns, fraud returns, ad hoc returns, etc.

Perform independent compliance testing across various company products
and processes to identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective
actions.

Prepare data packs and presentations for High-Level Monitoring
Committee, Senior Management Committee, and Compliance Committee, Board
and Audit Committee meetings, including drafting minutes.

Track regulatory changes and ensure timely dissemination of updates to
relevant business and support functions.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders to implement new regulatory
requirements and monitor compliance.
- Develop, review and update compliance policies including:
- KYC/AML Policy
- Fair Practices Code
- Fraud Risk Management Policy
- Compliance Policy
- Beneficial Ownership Guidelines

Assist during RBI inspections, regulatory audits and internal audits of
the Compliance function.

File Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and other regulatory reports
with the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU).

Conduct compliance awareness and training programs to strengthen the
organization's compliance culture.

Provide guidance to branch and operations teams on KYC, AML, Beneficial
Ownership and regulatory compliance matters.
- Handle compliance-related operational activities including:
- Branch returns
- Compliance newsletters
- Branch compliance visits
- NCIF tracking
- Approval of marketing creatives
- Cash transaction monitoring
- Transaction monitoring
- Compliance tracking and reporting

Review and supervise closure of AML alerts and ensure timely resolution
of compliance observations.
Candidate Requirements
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Law, Commerce or Management.

Qualified Company Secretary (CS) or Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.
- LLB/LLM qualification will be an added advantage.

Minimum 10 years of experience in Compliance, Internal Audit or
Regulatory functions within NBFCs, Banks or Financial Institutions.
