About the Role
KPMG is looking for an Associate - 2 to join its US Financial Services Tax
team supporting securitization and structured finance engagements. The role
involves analyzing structured financial products, researching US federal tax
implications, working with large datasets, and preparing client deliverables.
Candidates with experience in securitization, structured finance, capital
markets, and financial analysis are preferred.
Key Responsibilities

Work on securitization tax engagements related to Collateralized Loan
Obligations (CLO), Credit Funds, Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities
(RMBS), Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS), and Commercial Real
Estate CLOs (CRE CLOs).

Use third-party applications such as Intex, Markit and other analytical
tools to evaluate cash flows, present values, accounting, and tax concepts.

Conduct research on US federal and selected international income tax matters
related to:

Income recognition

Expense deduction
-
Accounting methods
-
Debt instruments
-
Stated interest
-
Original Issue Discount (OID)

Premium and Market Discount

Tax treatment of structured debt products

Analyze large and complex transaction datasets from multiple data sources.

Identify automation and process improvement opportunities using Python and
Alteryx.

Prepare client deliverables, documentation, and supporting working papers.
Required Qualifications

CA / CFA / FRM / MBA (Finance or Investment Management)
Experience
-
1–3 years of experience in Securitization or Capital Markets.
Mandatory Skills

Understanding of the securitization market.

Knowledge of regulatory standards related to structured financial products.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
