Lead Design Engineer – Civil & Structural
Location: Chennai | Faridabad | Hyderabad

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead Civil & Structural Design Engineering activities for Substation, Transmission, and Industrial Infrastructure projects.
• Perform and review the design and analysis of RCC structures, steel structures, equipment foundations, gantries, grading, and drainage systems.
• Prepare and review Design Basis Reports (DBRs), BOQs, design calculations, engineering specifications, and technical documents.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, consultants, vendors, and site execution teams to ensure timely project delivery.
• Review vendor drawings, technical submissions, and material specifications.
• Support pre-bid engineering, quantity validation, technical evaluations, and tender activities.
• Resolve technical issues during project execution and provide engineering support to site teams.
• Lead and mentor engineers/designers while ensuring quality and adherence to project schedules.
• Ensure compliance with applicable national/international design codes and client specifications.

Qualification

• B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering (Mandatory)
• M.Tech in Structural/Geotechnical/Environmental Engineering (Preferred)

Experience

• 10–15 years of experience in Civil & Structural Design Engineering
• Mandatory experience in Substation Design Projects
• Experience in Transmission, Power Infrastructure, or Industrial EPC projects is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in:
  • RCC & Steel Structure Design
  • Equipment & Transformer Foundations
  • Gantry Structures
  • Site Grading & Drainage
  • BOQ Preparation
  • Vendor Drawing Reviews
  • Pre-bid Engineering
  • Technical Evaluations

Software Skills

• STAAD Pro
• ETABS
• AutoCAD
• MS Office
• Revit (Preferred)
• Tekla (Preferred)

Mandatory Requirement

✔ Hands-on experience in Substation Design is essential.
