Lead Primary Design Engineering for AIS/GIS Substation
projects across domestic and international locations.
Prepare, review, and approve primary engineering
deliverables including substation layouts, equipment
layouts, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), earthing systems,
cable routing, lighting, and lightning protection designs.
Manage engineering deliverables from pre-bid engineering
through detailed design, execution support, commissioning,
and warranty phase.
Review design calculations, BOQs, vendor drawings, and
technical documents while ensuring client approval and
compliance with project specifications.
Coordinate with procurement, project execution, vendors,
and cross-functional teams for technical evaluations,
vendor approvals, and factory inspections.
Provide technical support to site teams, resolve
engineering issues, and respond to client technical
queries.
Plan engineering resources, monitor project progress, and
ensure timely completion of design activities.
Mentor and guide Design Engineers and Draughtspersons
while maintaining engineering quality and productivity.
Utilize engineering software such as Dialux and MS Office;
exposure to ETAP, PSCAD, and CYMGRD is desirable.
Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Electrical &
Electronics Engineering.
Experience & Skills
7–10 years of experience in primary design engineering for
AIS/GIS substation projects.
Strong expertise in substation layouts, equipment
arrangement, earthing design, cable routing, lighting
systems, lightning protection, and SLD preparation.
Mandatory Requirement
Hands-on
primary design engineering
experience in AIS/GIS Substation projects is mandatory.
