Electrical Lead Designer – Plant & Buildings (Onshore)

Key Responsibilities:
1. Interface & Review of Plant & Building drawings / calculations including:
 Substation Equipment layout & other building layouts
 Hazardous Area classification layouts
 Cable routing layouts
 Power layout / Cable route charts
 Lighting layouts
 Earthing & Lightning protection layout
 Fire alarm system layout
 Standard Installation drawings.
 Illumination / Lux level calculations
2. Preparation of calculations / MTO including:
 Tray / Trench Sizing calculations
 Earthing & Lightning Calculations
 Electrical bulk items MTO
 Fire Alarm Calculations
 Lighting panel schedule
3. Other Key competencies:
 Perform Interdisciplinary drawing check / review.
 Interface with other engineering team, project managers, Project management team
& Procurement team.
 Participate & represent Electrical part during Internal & external 3D model review
meetings with client.
 Knowledge of SP3D / REVIT design module to assist junior designers for 3D
modelling work & MTO extraction.
 Review & approve design deliverables/drawings prepared by team.
 Capability to address site related queries & participate in constructability reviews.
 Understanding of other disciplines drawings (Civil, Piping & packages etc.)
 Provide Technical guidance & mentorship to junior designers & draftsman.
 Knowledge of IEC/IEEE/IS standards and experience with major Clients/PMCs
(ADNOC, PDO, Saudi Aramco, EIL, etc.) is preferred.
 Candidates should be flexible to travel long term /short term to various project sites
and client / consultant offices based on the project requirement for resolution of site
technical issues during execution.
