We are seeking a talented individual to join our Health Operations team at
Mercer.
This role will be based in GGN. This is a hybrid role that has a
requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Grade D – Data Analytics & Insight (GHSC)
What can you expect?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Pricing and Market
Intelligence Analyst to support our WinPath Pricing Model and related
business intelligence activities. This role involves managing pricing
models, supporting budgeting and staffing plans, maintaining state and
competitor profiles, summarizing Medicaid and financial themes, and
enhancing sales dashboards. The ideal candidate will also track lobbyist
activities across states and provide actionable insights to support
strategic decision-making.
We will count on you to
Manage and update the WinPath Pricing Model, incorporating inputs from
FOIA analysis.
Support budgeting processes, Statements of Work (SOW), and staffing hour
buildup.
Develop and maintain comprehensive state and competitor profiles to
inform market positioning.
Summarize Medicaid and financial themes from Managed Care Organization
(MCO) investor calls (e.g., UNH, ELV, CVS, MOH).
Integrate internal themes with national data sources such as NIH medical
trends and MACPAC trend estimates.
Maintain main and breakout data files, ensuring accuracy and peer
review.
Design, develop, and maintain the Sales Dashboard, including
profitability metrics (with subscriptions), contract end dates,
forecasts, actuals, drift, and HR-related data.
Collaborate with internal teams such as GSD as needed.
Conduct quarterly research on lobbyist activities for each state,
including:
Listing state lobbyist websites.
Identifying competitors with lobbyists.
Tracking lobbyist payments and duration of lobbying efforts.
Allocate approximately 1.5 hours per state for lobbyist tracking and
updates.
What you need to have:
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in pricing models and financial analysis.
Experience with FOIA data analysis and integration.
Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and
data visualization.
Familiarity with data management and dashboard tools (e.g., Tableau,
Power BI, or similar).
Ability to work with large datasets and maintain data accuracy.
Knowledge of Medicaid, Managed Care Organizations, and healthcare
financial themes.
Experience with competitor and market profiling.
Basic understanding of lobbying processes and regulatory environments is
a plus.
Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to synthesize complex financial and market data into clear,
actionable insights.
Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality control.
Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Comfortable presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Other Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Healthcare Administration,
Business, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in pricing analysis, market intelligence, or
healthcare analytics preferred.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced
environment.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
