Role & Key Deliverables
The Plant Finance Controller is a key leader on the plant leadership team.
Contributes to all areas of plant management and provide strong financial
leadership. The Plant Controller is responsible for planning and
coordinating plant budget and business planning activities in alignment
with corporate policies and practices. The incumbent will provide
financial direction to the plant and provide recommendations to improve
site performance.
Experience
-
Goods understanding of Plant Accounting closure process and
reconciliation of the GL accounts.

Proven experience across a range of accounting and tax functions, with a
sound knowledge of accounting principles and standards, financial data
processing and reporting.

8 - 12 years of overall experience in plant accounting. Exposure to the
SAP environment will be added advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and manage the plant's annual operating budget, including sales
forecasts, production costs, and capital expenditures.

Prepare rolling forecasts to monitor performance against budget and
adjust as needed.

Manage all accounting operations including Billing, AR, AP, GL,
Inventory/Cost Accounting and Revenue Recognition.

Manage month-end closing and prepare monthly financial statements and
other operational reports for the plant.

Manage the plant's inventory control system, including cycle counting
and variance analysis.

Calculate standard costs and analyze variances to identify potential
cost issues.

Monitor and report on labor costs, production overhead, and material
usage.

Evaluate and approve capital expenditure requests, tracking actual
spending against budget.
- Analyze the financial impact of potential capital projects.

Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and
ensure accuracy of financial reporting.

Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards /Ind AS and
company policies.

Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and
address any findings.

Work closely with plant operations management to provide financial
insights and support strategic decision-making.

Lead a team of accounting staff responsible for day-to-day financial
operations at the plant.

Communicate financial information effectively to plant personnel at
various levels.

Must work across organization boundaries and all levels of the company
to achieve plant, country or corporate objectives.

Integrates and trains new staff while leading the continued professional
development of the existing team.

Provide appropriate accounting information to the management as and when
needed.

- Working knowledge in SAP ECC and S4 is preferred.

A working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word,
PowerPoint).
