Associate Director – Solar Marketplace
Role Purpose
The incumbent will be responsible for driving sales growth for the Solar
Marketplace business across Maharashtra by developing relationships with EPC
contractors, solar developers, installers, industrial customers, and channel
partners. The role will focus on identifying upcoming solar projects,
generating business opportunities, converting leads into orders, and expanding
Moglix’s presence as a preferred procurement platform for solar products and
solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development &Sales
Drive revenue growth for the Solar Marketplace business in the assigned
territory.
Identify and develop business opportunities with Solar EPCs, Developers,
Installers, Discom-approved vendors, and C&I customers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across the
solar ecosystem.
Generate and convert inquiries into orders through regular customer
engagement and field visits.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Project Tracking & Opportunity Mapping
Track utility-scale, rooftop, agricultural, and C&I solar projects
across Maharashtra.
Develop a strong pipeline of ongoing and upcoming projects.
Map project stakeholders including developers, EPC contractors, consultants,
and procurement teams.
Engage customers at the project planning and procurement stages to maximize
conversion opportunities.
Marketplace Growth
Promote adoption of the Solar Marketplace platform among customers and
channel partners.
Increase wallet share through cross-selling and upselling of solar BOS
products, modules, inverters, structures, cables, and allied categories.
Onboard new customers and suppliers to strengthen the marketplace ecosystem.
Customer Relationship Management
Conduct regular customer visits and business reviews.
Resolve commercial and operational issues in coordination with internal
teams.
Ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat business generation.
Market Intelligence
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing dynamics, and emerging
technologies.
Provide actionable market insights to support business expansion strategies.
Identify new product categories and business opportunities within the solar
value chain.
Internal Coordination
Work closely with sourcing, operations, supply chain, and finance teams for
seamless order execution.
Coordinate with category managers to ensure competitive pricing and product
availability.
Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM updates.

Desired Candidate Profile
Experience
4–5 years of B2B sales/business development experience.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in the Solar Industry (Modules, Inverters,
BOS, EPC, Renewable Energy,
Electrical Products, or Industrial Sales).
Strong understanding of the solar project lifecycle and procurement
ecosystem.
Educational Qualification
B.E./B.Tech (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Renewable Energy)
preferred.
MBA (Marketing/Sales) will be an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
Understanding of Solar EPC and renewable energy markets.
Ability to identify and pursue large-value project opportunities.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Commercial acumen and customer-centric approach.
Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office.
