We are expanding our CAE team and are looking for a talented
individual to join us as a
CAE Project Leader – Thermal

In this role, you will drive predictive engineering capabilities,
enhance product performance, and help advance simulation-led design
through cutting-edge CAE methods and tools.
Our Team
Our CAE team delivers multiphysics simulation capabilities across
product lines to reduce physical prototyping, accelerate product
development cycles, and improve field reliability. We collaborate
closely with product design, validation, and manufacturing teams to
create value through predictive engineering solutions.
What You Will Do

Lead predictive engineering analysis using CAE tools to evaluate
current rating and thermal performance of electrical connector
systems

Apply multiphysics simulation techniques including fluid flow, heat
transfer, and Joule heating to identify failure modes and optimize
product designs

Assess risks related to product performance and provide data-driven
design recommendations

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and validate
design solutions that meet customer and product requirements

Lead and support structured problem-solving using 8D methodology
-
Drive correlation between high-fidelity simulations and real-world
testing, improving simulation accuracy and methods
-
Lead development of thermal and current rating capability roadmaps,
including digital twin initiatives

Enhance CAE efficiency by developing and implementing automation
solutions for pre- and post-processing workflows

Communicate technical insights and findings clearly to internal
teams, management, and customers

Stay current with evolving technologies through training,
conferences, and continuous learning
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
-
10-16 years’ experience with CFD, Conjugate heat transfer &
Joule heating type analysis on electrical connector products
-
Experience applying CFD, conjugate heat transfer, and Joule heating
analysis in electronic cooling or connector applications
-
Proficiency with CFD software tools such as Icepak, Flotherm,
FloEFD, or similar platforms
-
Experience leading technical projects or independently delivering
simulation-driven engineering outcomes with strong correlation to
test results
-
Exposure to CAE workflow automation tools (e.g., ISIGHT, HyperStudy,
ModeFrontier)
-
Experience working with parametric CAD systems (e.g., UG NX, CATIA,
SolidWorks)
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to
present complex technical concepts clearly

Demonstrated customer focus with the ability to respond to
challenges with urgency

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering,
Materials Science, or equivalent experience
What Will Put You Ahead

Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Mechanical/Aerospace
Engineering or Materials Science

Extensive experience applying CFD and multiphysics analysis to
electrical connector products1

Deep expertise in FloEFD or similar simulation software
-
Experience leading complex engineering programs with
simulation-to-test correlation ownership

Experience with CAE automation, regression modeling, and nonlinear
system optimization

Experience supporting CAE users through training or technical
enablement

Exposure to Machine Learning/AI for engineering applications

Proficiency in analytical tools such as MATLAB or Mathematica
-
Strong Python scripting skills with exposure to CAE automation,
Physics-based AI, or Generative AI technologies

Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
