Job Summary:
The Wire Harness Design Engineer will play a critical role in the development
and optimization of wire harness systems, significantly impacting product
performance and reliability at Molex. Your expertise in design for
manufacturing (DFM), geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GDT), and
material selection will be essential to drive innovative solutions in our
product development environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop comprehensive wire harness systems, ensuring adherence to
project requirements and specifications.

Utilize DFM principles to enhance product manufacturability, reduce costs,
and improve operational efficiency.

Implement GDT practices to ensure precise and reliable designs through
effective communication of tolerances and specifications.

Conduct material selection processes to choose the best components that meet
performance and cost constraints.

Oversee end-to-end product development engineering (PDE) processes, ensuring
timely delivery of high-quality designs.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing and quality
assurance, to align design goals with production capabilities.

Perform design reviews and validate designs through simulation and testing
to meet industry standards and regulations.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a
related field.

5-10 years of experience in wire harness design and development.

Strong knowledge of DFM and GDT principles.

Proficient in CAD software and simulation tools used for wire harness
design.

Experience in material selection processes and understanding of different
insulation materials and conductors.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
across teams.
