The
RTR
Accountant
at Molex is responsible for executing end‑to‑end Record‑to‑Report (
RTR
) activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with internal
policies, and adherence to US GAAP/IFRS standards. This role supports global
finance operations by delivering high‑quality accounting outcomes, maintaining
strong internal controls, and driving continuous improvement in a dynamic
manufacturing environment.
Our Team
The Record‑to‑Report team at Molex supports global finance operations by
ensuring timely and accurate financial close, reporting, and compliance. The
team partners closely with OTC, PTP, and business stakeholders to maintain
data integrity and enable informed decision‑making across the organization.
What You Will Do

Maintain accurate general ledger accounting, including Cash & Bank,
Fixed Assets, Intercompany, and related transactions.

Perform month‑end close activities independently, ensuring accuracy and
adherence to timelines.

Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, clear open items on a timely basis,
and follow up on unreconciled items with stakeholders.

Monitor and perform periodic control checks to ensure financial accuracy and
compliance with internal control requirements.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting queries,
discrepancies, and process issues.

Ensure adherence to internal accounting policies, procedures, and compliance
standards.

Apply strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills using a “Stop, Think,
and Ask” approach across
RTR
activities.

Demonstrate conceptual understanding of end‑to‑end
RTR
processes, month‑end close, systems, and best practices.

Perform complex reconciliations and analyze exceptions, providing
recommendations and guidance for resolution.

Execute regular, complex, or exceptional month‑end and year‑end close
activities, supporting overall team delivery.

Conduct variance analysis on a periodic basis and ensure accuracy through
analysis and follow‑ups.

Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and
explanations.

Identify process improvement opportunities and participate in initiatives
such as system implementations, transitions, or special projects.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
-
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
-
1-5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting, with a focus on
Record‑to‑Report (R2R).

Strong knowledge of month‑end close processes and
RTR
activities, including GL, Fixed Assets, Intercompany, Payroll, Inventory,
and reconciliations.

High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
-
Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
-
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
-
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with OTC,
PTP, and business teams.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
What Will Put You Ahead

Hands‑on experience with SAP ERP and advanced Excel.

Exposure to tools such as BlackLine, OneStream, or similar close and
reconciliation platforms.

Experience in domestic accounting and audit support.
-
Experience transitioning or setting up accounting processes within a Shared
Services delivery model.
