The Role: Sr. Executive Accounts
Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Executive –
Accounts to manage end-to-end accounting operations for an FMCG business
across Modern Trade, General Trade, E-commerce, and Quick Commerce channels.
The role will primarily handle Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, GST,
TDS compliance, reconciliations, and channel-wise accounting coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable (AP)
Process vendor invoices and ensure timely booking of expenses.
Manage payment cycles for suppliers, logistics partners, marketplaces, and
service vendors.
Verify purchase orders, debit notes, credit notes, and vendor statements.
Conduct vendor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Accounts Receivable (AR)
Monitor collections from distributors, modern trade chains, marketplaces,
and Q-commerce partners.
Reconcile customer ledgers and outstanding balances.
Track claims, deductions, promotional spends, and trade schemes.
Coordinate with sales and channel teams for payment follow-ups.
GST & TDS Compliance
Prepare and file GST working data and support monthly/annual GST returns.
Reconcile GSTR-2B with purchase registers and identify mismatches.
Ensure accurate TDS deduction, accounting, and reconciliation.
Assist in TDS return preparation and issuance of TDS certificates.
Maintain compliance records and support during audits.
Reconciliation & Reporting
Perform bank reconciliations and ledger scrutiny.
Reconcile marketplace settlements from Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Zepto,
Swiggy Instamart, etc.
Prepare MIS reports related to receivables, payables, aging, and tax
compliance.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Coordination & Controls
Work closely with sales, operations, supply chain, and external auditors.
Ensure adherence to accounting policies and internal controls.
Maintain proper documentation and accounting records.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) / M.Com preferred.
3 – 6 years of accounting experience, preferably in FMCG, consumer brands,
or retail businesses.
Strong understanding of:
Accounts Payable & Receivable
GST & TDS
E-commerce and marketplace accounting
Trade schemes and channel accounting
Proficiency in Tally or ERP systems.
Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and reconciliation
handling.
