Job Description – Purchase Manager

Industry Preference: FMCG / Packaging / Textiles / Automobile / Pharma
Language Requirement:
Hindi & English mandatory
Marathi and Gujarati will be an added advantage

Key Responsibilities:
* Handle procurement of packaging and consumable materials for the organization
* Manage purchase of paper and non-paper stationery materials
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
* Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings
* Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production delays
* Compare quotations and finalize suppliers based on quality, pricing, and delivery
* Coordinate with Production, Stores, Accounts, and other departments for smooth procurement operations
* Monitor inventory levels and plan purchases accordingly
* Maintain purchase records, MIS reports, and documentation in SAP
* Identify new vendors and conduct vendor evaluations

Required Skills:
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Vendor management and influencing ability
* Analytical and problem-solving skills
* Good knowledge of Advance Excel
* Hands-on experience in SAP PP & MM Modules
* Knowledge of procurement planning and inventory control

Preferred Candidate Profile:
* Candidate should have strong experience in packaging material procurement
* Experience in consumables purchasing is mandatory
* Must have exposure to vendor development and strategic sourcing
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple suppliers effectively
* SAP Knowledge:
* SAP MM (Material Management)
* SAP PP (Production Planning)
