Job Description
Job Description We are looking for experienced Embedded Linux BSP
Engineers for an industrial product migration project involving Linux BSP
porting and hardware enablement on the NXP i.MX6 platform. This is a
kernel-level engineering role focused on BSP migration, Linux kernel driver
development, Yocto customization, and hardware validation. Candidates with
only application-level embedded development experience will not be suitable.
Key Responsibilities • Port the existing BSP to the NXP i.MX6 platform. •
Develop and adapt Linux kernel drivers. • Configure and maintain the Yocto
build system. • Create and modify Device Tree (DTS/DTSI) files. • Update OS
components and application layers as required. • Validate hardware
functionality and system stability. • Document technical changes and migration
activities. Required Skills • 5–7+ years of Embedded Linux development
experience. • Strong experience with Linux BSP development and porting. •
Hands-on Linux Kernel Driver development/porting. • Excellent knowledge of the
Yocto Project. • Device Tree (DTS/DTSI) development and debugging. •
Experience with NXP i.MX6 or other NXP SoCs. • Experience working with: o HDMI
o USB Host o GPIO o RS485/UART • Strong understanding of U-Boot, Linux boot
process, and Root Filesystem. • Experience with embedded debugging tools
(JTAG, GDB, Serial Console). Good to Have • Industrial automation or
manufacturing domain experience. • SCADA or Factory Automation. • Modbus /
CANbus / RS485. • NXP BSP releases. • PREEMPT-RT or Real-Time Linux. • Secure
Boot and firmware signing. Not Suitable For Candidates with experience limited
to: • IoT application development • MQTT integrations • STM32/Bare Metal
firmware only • Web, Mobile, or Backend development • Application-layer
embedded development without BSP or kernel work
