Retail Risk Analyst

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to support portfolio monitoring, delinquency analytics, collections performance tracking, and management reporting across lending portfolios. The role requires strong ownership, hands-on analytical capability, and stakeholder coordination across business, collections, and risk teams.

 Key Responsibilities

Portfolio & Delinquency Analytics

• Monitor portfolio performance across delinquency buckets (1-30, 30+, 60+, 90+ etc.)
• Perform vintage analysis, MOB analysis, roll rate analysis, and resolution tracking
• Identify early warning indicators and stress segments within the portfolio
• Track collection efficiency and bucket movement trends

Reporting & MIS

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS dashboards for management review
• Develop and automate reporting frameworks using SQL, Python, Excel, and Power BI
• Ensure data validation and reporting accuracy
• Prepare portfolio insights and presentation-ready summaries for stakeholders

Strategy & Analytical Support

• Analyze collection strategies and identify improvement opportunities
• Support collection prioritization and segmentation exercises
• Build analytical frameworks for recovery optimization and portfolio monitoring
• Work with large datasets from internal systems, bureau data, and external sources

Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with collections, business, finance, and risk teams
• Support management discussions with analytical insights and performance commentary
• Deliver adhoc analytical requirements within defined timelines

Required Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of portfolio analytics and collections processes
• Hands-on experience with SQL, Python and Excel
• Working knowledge of Python and Visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau)
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work with large datasets and derive actionable insights

Preferred Experience

• Experience in Finance, banking, NBFC, fintech, or lending analytics
• Understanding of delinquency metrics, vintage analysis, roll rates, and collection MIS

Experience Range

10–15 years of relevant experience in portfolio analytics, collections analytics, or risk analytics.
