Job Summary:
As a Senior Physical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving
the physical design of advanced semiconductor chips, ensuring optimal
performance and power efficiency. Your expertise will directly impact product
quality and help shape the future of innovative electronic solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the physical design flow, including floor planning, placement, clock
tree synthesis, routing, and verification for complex IC designs.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design requirements and
deliverables for various projects, ensuring alignment with project
timelines.

Utilize industry-leading EDA tools to perform detailed timing analysis,
DRC/LVS checks, and IR drop analysis.

Implement design for manufacturability (DFM) techniques to enhance yield and
production efficiency.

Optimize designs for area, power, and performance, applying innovative
methodologies and best practices.

Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on design methodologies and tool
usage to foster skill development and knowledge sharing.

Present design results and project progress to stakeholders, articulating
complex technical concepts in an understandable manner.
Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer
Engineering, or a related field.

12+ years of experience in physical design and implementation of integrated
circuits.

Proficiency in industry-standard EDA tools such as Cadence, Synopsys, or
Mentor Graphics.

Strong understanding of digital design concepts, including RTL design and
logic synthesis.

Experience with timing closure techniques and tools, including static timing
analysis (STA).

Knowledge of semiconductor physics and processes that affect circuit
performance and reliability.

Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a
team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with advanced node technologies (e.g., 7nm, 5nm, or 3nm) and
familiarity with relevant design challenges.

Familiarity with analog/mixed-signal design concepts is a plus.

Active participation in design reviews and design closure processes.

Track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously while
maintaining high quality standards.

Understanding of emerging technologies and trends in semiconductor design
and fabrication.
