EHS Manager

Key Responsibilities • To ensure the safety of all people working at the site and of plant & machinery by following safety practices. • To ensure compliance with all Government regulatory norms pertaining to DISH, MPCB, Ministry of Environment & Forest, CCOE, MIDC, Fire Officer, etc. • To prepare and submit reports to various Government authorities as and when required. • To ensure smooth functioning of the ETP by complying with all applicable norms. • To maintain effective liaison with relevant Government officials for the smooth functioning of the factory. • To obtain necessary licenses and approvals from Government and Semi-Government authorities. • To ensure that the fire hydrant system is maintained in proper working condition through regular inspections and by providing training to employees. • To ensure that appropriate fire extinguishers are placed at designated locations, checked periodically for validity, and that employees receive training on their use. • To advise concerned departments in planning and organizing measures for the effective control and prevention of personal injuries. • To provide guidance on safety aspects during job studies and conduct detailed Job Safety Studies (JSS) for selected jobs. • To review and evaluate the effectiveness of actions taken or proposed to prevent personal injuries. • To advise the Purchasing and Stores departments on ensuring the availability and quality of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
