Manager – Production

Job Purpose To manage and supervise day-to-day production operations for peptide manufacturing, ensuring safe, efficient, compliant, and timely execution of production activities in accordance with approved procedures, cGMP requirements, quality standards, and business objectives. Key Responsibilities • Manage day-to-day manufacturing operations for peptide products, including Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis (SPPS) and associated production activities. • Ensure production activities are executed as per approved Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and manufacturing instructions. • Plan and monitor production activities to achieve production targets, timelines, and optimum utilization of manpower, equipment, and resources. • Ensure compliance with cGMP, EHS, data integrity, and applicable regulatory requirements. • Lead and supervise production personnel, including manpower planning, shift allocation, training, and performance management. • Preparation and review production documentation (change controls, deviations, investigations, CAPA etc.) and ensure accurate and timely completion of batch records and other manufacturing-related documents. • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for smooth production operations. • Monitor key production parameters, process performance, yield, productivity, and batch cycle time. • Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, productivity enhancement, and reduction of process losses. • Support technology transfer, process validation, cleaning validation, scale-up, and new product introduction activities, as applicable. • Participate in internal, customer, and regulatory audits and ensure timely closure of observations related to production. • Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement within the production team. • Prepare and review production reports, KPI dashboards, and other operational metrics. • Ensure effective communication and coordination across shifts and departments.
