Job Description – Deputy Manager (Electroplating)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the Nickel-Chrome electroplating process to ensure consistent product quality.
• Maintain plating bath chemistry and monitor process parameters for optimum plating performance.
• Optimize chemical consumption and improve plating efficiency while controlling operational costs.
• Handle rectifiers, jigs, racks, plating tanks, and associated electroplating equipment .
• Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) and STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) .
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and statutory regulations related to electroplating operations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce defects, and improve process capability.
• Monitor production quality, troubleshoot plating defects, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Projects teams for smooth operations.
• Support the establishment, installation, commissioning, or expansion of electroplating plants , including process setup and stabilization.
• Prepare production reports, monitor KPIs, and drive process standardization.

Desired Skills

• Strong knowledge of Nickel-Chrome Plating Process .
• Expertise in plating chemistry, bath maintenance, and chemical control.
• Hands-on experience with rectifiers, jigs, racks, plating equipment, and process control.
• Good understanding of ETP/STP operations and environmental compliance.
• Experience in process optimization, cost reduction, and chemical consumption control.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Continuous Improvement will be an added advantage.
