Job Description – Assistant Sales Manager (ASM) – Project Sales (IC Role)

Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic
Assistant Sales Manager – Project Sales
to drive business development and sales in the projects segment. This is an
Individual Contributor (IC)
role responsible for managing architects, builders, contractors,
consultants, developers, government departments, and channel partners to
generate project specifications and closures.
Candidates from the
Building Material industry
are preferred, including Bathware, Sanitaryware, Tiles, Paints, Plywood,
Laminates, Electricals, Lighting, Switchgear, Pipes, Construction Chemicals,
Adhesives, Cement, Steel, HVAC, Glass, Roofing, Doors & Windows, Modular
Kitchen, Furniture Fittings, and similar products.
Key Responsibilities

Drive project sales by developing new business opportunities in the
assigned territory.

Build strong relationships with Architects, Interior Designers, Builders,
Developers, Contractors, Consultants, and PMC firms.

Generate product specifications and convert them into orders.

Coordinate with distributors and dealers for order execution and timely
deliveries.

Identify and track upcoming residential, commercial, hospitality,
healthcare, education, and government projects.

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Conduct product presentations and technical demonstrations for consultants
and customers.

Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.

Ensure collection of payments and maintain healthy receivables.

Prepare sales forecasts, project pipelines, and MIS reports.

Travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Desired Candidate Profile
-
8 years of experience in Project Sales.
-
Experience in any Building Material industry is mandatory.

Strong network with Architects, Builders, Contractors, Consultants, and
Developers.

Good negotiation, relationship management, and presentation skills.

Self-driven and capable of independently handling the assigned territory.
-
Willing to travel across the assigned region.
