Fabric Sourcing Manager
Job Summary:
The Fabric Sourcing Manager plays a crucial role in optimizing the fabric
procurement process, ensuring that quality materials are sourced efficiently
and allocated correctly across various collections. This position is key to
maintaining high standards in fabric quality and supporting the overall
production strategy of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead sourcing initiatives across various mills and clusters to secure
high-quality fabrics.

Maintain comprehensive fabric inventory Management Information Systems (MIS)
dashboards using Excel to track stock levels and movements.

Track fabric consumption and allocation to ensure alignment with production
schedules and collections.

Ensure rigorous fabric quality testing and compliance with industry
standards and specifications.

Collaborate closely with design and production teams to anticipate fabric
needs and address sourcing challenges.

Conduct market research to identify emerging trends in fabric sourcing and
potential new suppliers.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to
negotiate favorable terms and ensure reliability.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Textile Science, Fashion Merchandising, or a related
field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in fabric sourcing and inventory
management.

Proficiency in Excel, with experience in creating and managing dashboards
and reporting tools.

Strong understanding of fabric quality standards and testing protocols.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication and negotiation skills to liaise with suppliers and
internal teams.

Willingness to travel to mills and production sites as needed for fabric
sampling and quality assurance.
