Menswear Designer

Job Summary:

We’re seeking a thoughtful Menswear Designer to assist in the design and development of Péro’s menswear collections. You will work closely with the Founder and Design Head to translate the brand’s craft-led philosophy into contemporary menswear, from concept through to sampling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop menswear styles across seasonal collections.
• Create sketches, technical drawings, and detailed tech packs.
• Support pattern development, draping, fittings, and sample reviews.
• Collaborate with textile, embroidery, merchandising, and production teams throughout product development.
• Research fabrics, craft techniques, trims, and global menswear references.
• Maintain design documentation and sampling trackers.

Requirements:

• 2–3 years’ experience in premium, luxury, or designer apparel.
• Strong foundation in pattern making, garment construction, fit, and silhouette development.
• Understanding of Indian textiles, artisanal techniques, and fabric development.
• Detail-oriented with a refined aesthetic and strong execution skills.
• Curious, collaborative, and comfortable working in a founder-led creative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Educational background from NIFT, Pearl Academy, NID, Srishti Manipal Institute, MSU Baroda, or equivalent.
• Experience with sustainable fashion practices and textiles.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Strong networking skills within the fashion industry.
