About the Role:
Power Exchange India Limited (PXIL) is seeking a strategic, dynamic and an
accomplished professional to join our team as the Head of Market Operations.
This is a functional leadership role. The incumbent will be responsible for
leading the Market Operations department and ensuring the smooth functioning
of our power trading platform in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
You will provide strategic direction, oversee operational activities, and
drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and
reliability. If you have a strong understanding of power market regulations,
proven leadership skills, and a passion for driving excellence in operations,

The incumbent is expected to have strong understanding of power trading, power
markets and power sector regulatory environment and practices.
Role and responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:
Providing strategic direction and leadership to the Market Operations team
to achieve organizational goals and objectives.

Regulatory Compliance:
Staying updated with power market regulations and always ensure compliance
with regulatory requirements.

Operational Management:
Ensuring the smooth functioning of the power trading platform, including
scheduling, clearing, settlement, and risk management processes.

Market Surveillance:
Monitoring market activities and implement measures to detect and prevent
market manipulation, fraud, and other irregularities.

Stakeholder Management:
Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including Leadership team, Trading
team, Risk Management, and IT teams, as well as external stakeholders such
as regulators and market participants.

Process Improvement:
Identifying opportunities for process optimization and automation to enhance
operational efficiency and reduce costs.

Team Development:
Coaching, mentoring, and developing team members to build a high-performing
Market Operations team capable of meeting evolving business needs.

Performance Monitoring:
Establishing performance metrics and KPIs to track the effectiveness of
Market Operations activities and drive continuous improvement.
