Key Responsibilities
Develop a strong understanding of supplier quality management systems and
quality assurance processes.
Basic knowledge of the Hot Forging and Heat Treatment processes.
Understand and apply APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), PPAP
(Production Part Approval Process), SPC (Statistical Process Control), MSA
(Measurement System Analysis), and QC Story Methodology.
Perform incoming and in-process inspection of components as per engineering
drawings and quality standards.
Operate and interpret inspection results using measuring instruments such as
Contour Measuring Machine and Profile Projector.
Support supplier audits, process capability studies, and quality improvement
initiatives.
Analyze quality issues, identify root causes, and assist in implementing
corrective
and preventive actions (CAPA).
Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and
internal
procedures.
Coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to resolve
quality-related
concerns.
Prepare quality reports, inspection records, and maintain relevant
documentation.
Required Skills
Good understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly Hot Forging and
Heat
Treatment.
Knowledge of automotive quality core tools: APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, and QC
Story.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
Knowledge of quality inspection techniques and measuring instruments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Preferred Candidate Profile -
B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) with 0–2 years of experience in Supplier
Quality
or Manufacturing Quality.
Freshers with relevant internship or project experience in automotive
manufacturing may also apply.
Willingness to travel to supplier locations as and when required.
Self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable of working in a team-oriented
environment.
