Sr. Engineer / Superintendent - Production

Functional / Technical Skills
 Hands-on experience in NIDEC & CJMT hobbing and shaper machines (setting &
troubleshooting)
 Knowledge of broaching, shaving, milling, and rounding machines
 Understanding of manufacturing processes and machine operations
 Knowledge of Work Instructions (WI), SOPs, logbooks, setup control, rejection & rework
analysis
 Implementation of 5S activities and continuous improvement initiatives
 Knowledge of IATF 16949.
 Understanding of 4M change management and shop floor safety practices
 Shift planning and manpower management
 Production monitoring and resource optimization
 Quality control and process discipline
 Maintaining production and machine records/logbooks

Behavioural Skills
 Leadership and team handling
 Problem-solving and decision-making ability
 Good communication and coordination skills

Key Responsibilities
 Supervise daily production activities and ensure smooth shop floor operations
 Achieve production targets as per plan and schedule
 Monitor machine performance and coordinate troubleshooting activities
 Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and materials
 Maintain quality standards and reduce rejection/rework
 Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety guidelines, and quality systems
 Maintain production records, shift reports, and logbooks
 Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and planning departments
 Conduct shift planning and manpower allocation
 Drive 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities
 Monitor tool consumption and machine downtime
 Ensure compliance with IATF and ISO system requirements
 Train and guide operators for process improvement and safe working practices
