Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Associate Buyer to support the procurement of bought-out plastic parts for our manufacturing plants in Germany and other international locations. The ideal candidate should have experience in international purchasing, supplier coordination, and procurement processes, with strong communication and negotiation skills. Experience in sourcing injection moulded plastic components, plastic assemblies, and other automotive plastic parts is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of bought-out plastic parts for manufacturing plants in Germany and other international locations.
• Source and purchase injection moulded plastic components, plastic assemblies, interior and exterior plastic parts, and other automotive plastic products from approved suppliers.
• Create and manage purchase orders in SAP, ensuring timely processing and delivery.
• Coordinate with international suppliers to ensure uninterrupted availability of production parts.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, tooling costs, and commercial agreements with global vendors.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, logistics, and production planning teams to support new product launches and ongoing production requirements.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance, inventory levels, and material availability to prevent production disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, quality standards, customer-specific requirements, and international trade regulations.
• Support supplier development initiatives, cost reduction projects, and continuous process improvements.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier master data, contracts, and purchasing reports in SAP.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient supply chain operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Experience in international procurement and supplier management is mandatory.
• Exposure to procurement of injection moulded plastic parts, plastic assemblies, automotive plastic components, or similar bought-out commodities is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with SAP (MM module preferred).
• Understanding of tooling procurement, PPAP, APQP, and automotive supplier quality processes will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of import/export documentation and international procurement processes will be an added advantage.

Required Skills

• Understanding of automotive manufacturing and plastic component supply chains.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel.

• Ability to manage multiple suppliers and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
