Job Title: Senior Tech Lead – Ecommerce (SFCC)
Job Description:
We are looking for a highly experienced and hands-on Senior Tech Lead – Ecommerce with deep expertise in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC B2C) to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable ecommerce platforms.
This role requires a strong technical leader who can actively contribute to coding while driving architectural decisions, mentoring teams, and ensuring high-quality delivery across multiple ecommerce implementations. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in SFRA, OCAPI, headless commerce, and third-party integrations, along with a proven track record of leading end-to-end ecommerce solutions.
You will work with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, UX, and business stakeholders to deliver high-performing, customer-centric digital experiences across global, multi-site environments.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and mentor a team of developers while remaining hands-on with coding (SFCC, SFRA, controllers, pipelines, cartridges)
* Drive end-to-end solution design and architecture for SFCC-based ecommerce platforms
* Deliver scalable multi-site, multi-locale ecommerce solutions across global markets
* Implement and optimize backend and frontend features including checkout, PDP, PLP, and account management
* Lead integrations with third-party systems such as payment gateways, analytics tools, and external services
* Drive adoption of headless commerce and modern frontend architectures (PWA, API-first solutions)
* Optimize site performance and improve Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP) using tools like Lighthouse and PageSpeed Insights
* Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines
* Collaborate with stakeholders for requirement gathering, solutioning, and delivery planning
* Troubleshoot complex production issues and ensure system reliability and scalability
* Drive CI/CD adoption, release management, and Agile delivery practices

Key Skills:
Need to have:
* Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC and SFRA)
* Expertise in backend development (controllers, pipelines, Business Manager, OCAPI)
* Proficiency in JavaScript, ISML, Demandware scripts, HTML, CSS
* Experience with headless commerce and PWA implementations
* Strong experience in REST APIs, web services, and third-party integrations
* Knowledge of payment integrations and checkout flows
* Expertise in performance optimization and Core Web Vitals improvement
* Experience with A/B testing, personalization, and merchandising workflows
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps
Good to have
* Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices (WCAG)
* Familiarity with analytics and SEO optimization tools
* Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, Scrum)

Experience:
* 10–14 years of experience in ecommerce development with strong SFCC expertise
* Proven experience as a Tech Lead in SFCC projects
* Experience delivering large-scale, multi-brand, multi-region ecommerce implementations
* Strong client-facing experience including requirement discussions and solution design
