Role Objective
The Chief Executive Officer will lead the overall growth, profitability and
organisational development of Binge On. The CEO will translate the founders’
vision into a scalable business strategy and take complete responsibility for
revenue, profitability, operations, people, partnerships and market expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Business Strategy and P & L
Develop and execute the company’s short-term and long-term business
strategy.
Take ownership of revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, working capital and
cash-flow performance.
Prepare annual operating plans, budgets and channel-wise growth targets.
Identify opportunities for new markets, products, partnerships and business
models.
Review business performance regularly and take corrective action where
required.
Sales and Distribution
Build Binge On’s presence across General Trade, Modern Trade, quick
commerce, e-commerce, institutional sales, alternate channels and exports.
Lead national expansion through distributors, super stockists, retailers and
strategic accounts.
Approve channel commercials, margins, schemes, listing investments and
promotional plans.
Ensure sustainable primary and secondary sales growth without excessive
discounting, ageing or RTV.
Build and manage a high-performance national sales organisation.
Brand and Product Portfolio
Work with the marketing and R&D teams to strengthen Binge On’s premium
snacking position.
Evaluate new products, pack sizes, price points and consumer segments.
Ensure that product launches are supported by clear commercial plans and
measurable targets.
Maintain consistency between brand positioning, product quality, pricing and
channel execution.
Manufacturing and Supply Chain
Oversee production planning, procurement, inventory, quality, dispatch and
service levels.
Ensure production capacity and raw-material availability support the
company’s growth plans.
Improve manufacturing efficiency, wastage control, forecasting accuracy and
inventory rotation.
Ensure that product quality and consistency are maintained during rapid
expansion.
Financial and Commercial Management
Establish financial discipline across pricing, margins, credit, collections
and expenditure.
Review channel and customer profitability before approving commercial
investments.
Work closely with finance on budgets, cash flow, MIS, statutory requirements
and management reporting.
Evaluate fundraising, debt or strategic investment opportunities when
required.
Quality, Compliance and Governance
Ensure adherence to FSSAI requirements and all applicable food-safety,
manufacturing, tax and corporate regulations.
Establish clear approval systems, accountability structures and internal
controls.
Ensure management decisions are supported by reliable sales, financial and
operational data.
Keep the Founder and Board informed about performance, risks and major
business decisions.
Team and Organisation Building
Recruit, lead and develop senior leaders across sales, marketing,
operations, finance, R&D and supply chain.
Establish departmental targets, performance-management systems and review
processes.
Build a culture of ownership, speed, accountability, collaboration and
consumer focus.
Create succession and capability-development plans for critical positions.
Candidate Requirements
12+ years of experience in FMCG, packaged foods, snacks, beverages or a
closely related consumer business.
At least 5 years of experience leading multiple business functions or
managing a company-level P&L.
Demonstrated experience scaling a regional or emerging brand across multiple
Indian markets.
Strong understanding of General Trade, Modern Trade, quick commerce,
e-commerce, institutional sales and distributor management.
Experience working with food manufacturing, supply-chain planning, quality
systems and working-capital management.
Strong commercial negotiation, financial analysis and team-leadership
capabilities.
Experience launching new products and entering new channels or markets.
Graduate degree required. MBA in Strategy, Finance, Sales or Marketing
preferred.
