RAIL Low Voltage Design Engineer

Key Requirements

• Knowledge of Indian/European standards and codes used in Railway Low Voltage systems

• Proven design experience across investigation, preliminary, detailed, and construction phases

• Strong interface coordination experience with other railway engineering disciplines

• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bentley products and Febdok. Good understanding of complete Railway Low Voltage Systems and Traction power supply flow.

 

Responsibilities

• Develop low voltage electrical design for rail infrastructure and station related systems.
• Prepare technical documents, engineering drawings and design calculations.
• Perform calculation related to short circuit, protection coordinate, cable sizing, voltage drop, lighting and other LV systems.
• Design power supply distribution, backup arrangements, load calculations, and heating circuit drawings.
• Coordinate with civil, signaling, electrical and project management teams to ensure integrated design delivery.
• Ensure compliance with Swedish, European and railway specific standards and requirements.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of earthing and bolding principal in low voltage design.
• Participate in design reviews, technical meetings and coordination discussions as required.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting during design development and project execution.
• International experience would be proffered.
