Key Requirements
Knowledge of Indian/European standards and codes used in Railway Low Voltage systems
Proven design experience across investigation, preliminary, detailed, and construction phases
Strong interface coordination experience with other railway engineering disciplines
Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bentley products and Febdok. Good understanding of complete Railway Low Voltage Systems and Traction power supply flow.
Technical Experience Required
Hands-on working experience in designing:
Developed low-voltage electrical designs for rail infrastructure. Prepared technical documents, engineering drawings, and design calculations. Performed calculations for short circuit, protection coordination, cable sizing, voltage drop, lighting, and other LV systems. Designed power supply distribution, backup arrangements, load calculations, and overall LV network layouts.
Prepared low-voltage circuit drawings, station lighting layouts, and heating circuit drawings. Strong understanding of earthing and bonding principles in LV design.
Skills & Competencies
Ability to independently carry out designs and design reviews
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Good software skills
Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
