Role Overview:

The candidate will be responsible for managing facultative reinsurance placements in the Marine line of business, including Cargo, Port Package, Shipbuilder’s Risk, and associated onshore/offshore exposures. The role demands a proactive approach in market negotiation, compliance, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.

Role and Responsibilities

§   LOB mapped – Marine Cargo including port package, shipbuilder’s risk insurance, onshore / offshore risk.

§   Negotiate and arrange reinsurance terms directly or through intermediaries

§   Maximize reinsurance commission earnings through strategic placements

§   Ensure strict adherence to regulatory and internal compliance requirements

§   Manage documentation for reinsurance placements and ensure timely policy bookings

§   Coordinate premium remittance with markets/intermediaries within defined timelines

§   Process endorsements and manage changes as required

§   Support the facultative claims recovery process, when applicable

§   Assist in the preparation and submission of half-yearly FAC returns and other regulatory filings
