Responsibilities

Function Design Engineer

• Analyze and compare functional differences between Base Model and New Model Forklifts.
• Make Component Design Concept Paper (CDCP).
• Prepare detailed Function Design Documents including:
  • System architecture
  • Function lists
  • Feature differences
  • Mapping tables
• Develop evaluation instructions for system validation.
• Conduct vehicle-level testing to validate functional implementation and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design alignment and quality.
• Maintain and update documentation throughout the development lifecycle.

System Engineer

• Review and understand existing system engineering processes and documentation.
• Identify improvement areas in workflows, templates, and review mechanisms.
• Propose and implement enhancements to improve development efficiency and quality.
• Standardize and update process documentation (e.g., flowcharts, guidelines).
• Collaborate with system engineers to gather feedback and align process changes.
• Monitor process and suggest corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with internal and industry standards.
• Knowledge in Mechanical System – Mainly Forklift Mechanism and Control Objects.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of embedded systems and vehicle control units.
• Experience in system architecture, function design documentation, and software development processes.
• Proficiency in Japanese and English (spoken and written).
• Knowledge of vehicle testing and evaluation planning.
• Familiarity with Forklift or Industrial Vehicle Systems is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • System Engineering
  • SW Design
  • Vehicle-Level Testing and System Qualification
  • ISO 26262
  • FMEA
  • CANalyzer
  • DOORS
  • Enterprise Architect
