JOB DESCRIPTION

Our department focuses on System development, particularly meter software development. This is a highly rewarding job that involves promoting software development in collaboration with Japanese OEMs, internal departments, overseas development teams, and domestic and international contractors. We are looking for a software engineer to serve as the point of contact for our Japanese customers regarding System development. This engineer will collaborate with our domestic and international development teams to accelerate software development and be able to develop the System independently.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze customer requirements and transform them into technical solutions.
• Design visible, maintainable, and efficient System.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers.
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle.
• Conduct software design reviews, code reviews and test reviews, and provide feedback to team members.
• Failure test analysis, Troubleshoot, debug functionalities while failures detected.
• Log analysis of CAN/SPI/SOMEIP, Functional logic verification in HILS test bench.
• To complete the software with zero bugs and no quality issues before mass production.
• Stay up to date on the latest technological trends.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Experience in embedded software/System development, product architecture understanding.
• Understanding about communication protocols CAN/SPI/SOMIP.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Architecture of project involves multiple VM (QNXOS/AndroidOS) on hypervisor.
• Familiarity with System development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (C/C++ code).
• Knowledge of using VScode, Wireshark, Teraterm, CAN, VMware tools.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Being quick on your feet and able to work hard with a positive attitude.
• Experience in developing meter (CDC) System.(3 years or more).
• Experience using basic measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, CANAlyzer, etc.).
• Knowledge of microcontroller peripheral functions and development experience.
• English proficiency (TOEIC score over 600).
• Knowledgeable about automotive functions (has experience in automotive-related development) or Interested in automobiles.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Experience with MATLAB model development.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of CI/CD.
• Knowledge of software test efficiency and automation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or related engineering fields.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 5 years of experience.

POSITION

The position is based in Japan reporting to Business unit in India.
