Role Summary

Responsible for 3D scanning and dimensional validation of metro/car body structures using Creaform (HandySCAN / MetraSCAN) and PolyWorks software, ensuring zero dimensional defect escape to customer end with strong focus on dimensional variation control, bracket shift detection, and geometrical validation.

Key Responsibilities

·   Perform full car body scanning (underframe, side walls, roof, end structures)

·   Conduct CAD vs scan comparison using PolyWorks software

·   Validate GD&T, profile, position, and critical interfaces

·   Identify and analyze bracket shift, hole misalignment, weld distortion and dimensional variations

·   Generate inspection reports (color maps, deviation reports, trends)

·   Ensure 100% inspection coverage before dispatch

Required Skills

·   Hands-on experience in Creaform (HandySCAN / MetraSCAN)

·   Working knowledge of PolyWorks software

·   Strong understanding of GD&T and Metro Car body structures

·   Experience in dimensional variation & tolerance analysis

·   Ability to perform large assembly scanning

Qualification

Diploma – Mechanical / Production / Automotive

Key KPIs (Zero Defect Escape Focus)

·   Customer Defect Escape: 0 dimensional defects at customer end

·   Bracket Shift Detection: 100% internal detection before dispatch

·   Inspection Coverage: 100% critical points validated
