Job Title: Operations Manager – Wagon Maintenance & Rail Logistics

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Operations Manager
to oversee day-to-day wagon maintenance, rail logistics, and site
operations in Cameroon. The ideal candidate will be responsible for
ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable wagon operations while leading
maintenance activities, coordinating manpower, managing stakeholders, and
ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities

Manage daily wagon maintenance and operational activities to ensure
maximum fleet availability and reliability.

Plan, schedule, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance
programs.

Coordinate with client operational teams to ensure smooth project
execution and high customer satisfaction.

Monitor wagon availability, breakdowns, maintenance turnaround time
(TAT), and operational KPIs.

Lead site operations, including manpower planning, contractor
management, and workforce deployment.

Coordinate with global support teams for spare parts, consumables,
technical assistance, and maintenance planning.

Track inventory, manage spare parts, and implement cost-control
initiatives.

Prepare operational, maintenance, and project progress reports for
management.

Ensure compliance with local statutory regulations, HSE standards,
quality requirements, and environmental policies.

Identify operational risks and implement corrective and preventive
actions to improve operational efficiency.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment
reliability and maintenance performance.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and
internal stakeholders.
Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in
Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering
.

10–12 years
of experience in
heavy engineering, heavy manufacturing, railway, rolling stock,
mining, fleet maintenance, or industrial operations
.

Strong experience in maintenance planning, preventive and corrective
maintenance, and site operations.

Experience managing technical teams, contractors, and manpower
deployment.

Knowledge of inventory management, spare parts planning, and logistics
coordination.

Strong understanding of HSE, quality, and statutory compliance
requirements.

Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder
management skills.
