Project Manager – Substation Design | Chennai

Location: Chennai, India

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Substation Design to lead the engineering and design execution of AIS/GIS substation projects, ensuring timely delivery, technical excellence, and compliance with client and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end engineering and design for HV/EHV AIS & GIS substations.
• International project experience.  
• Lead multidisciplinary design teams (Primary, Secondary, Civil & Structural).
• Coordinate with clients, OEMs, and global engineering teams.
• Monitor engineering schedules, deliverables, quality, and project risks.
• Ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards and utility specifications.
• Support technical reviews, design approvals, and project execution.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5-15 years of experience in substation design (AIS/GIS).
• Strong knowledge of primary, secondary, protection & control, and substation engineering.
• Experience with utilities/consultants/EPC contractors.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, ETAP, Primavera P6/MS Project.
• PMP certification is an advantage.
