Job Summary
The Pre-Sales Consultant plays a critical role in driving business growth by
aligning customer needs with tailored solutions across Finance &
Accounting (F&A), BPM, Shared Services, Global Business Services (GBS),
and technology-enabled transformation services. This role combines domain
expertise, solutioning capability, and consultative selling to support the
sales cycle from initial engagement through deal closure. The ideal candidate
will be a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in solution design,
proposal development, pricing, and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Architecting

Understand client requirements and design scalable, efficient Finance &
Accounting solutions across:

Record-to-Report (R2R)

Procure-to-Pay (P2P)

Order-to-Cash (O2C)

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

Treasury Operations
-
Tax & Compliance
-
Shared Services & GBS Models
-
Develop Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) pricing, effort estimates, and
commercial models.

Conduct process discovery workshops and current-state/future-state
assessments.

Identify opportunities for automation, AI, analytics, and digital
transformation within finance functions.

Address functional and operational concerns while ensuring alignment with
client business objectives.
2. Proposal Development

Lead and contribute to responses for RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and proactive
proposals, ensuring alignment with client expectations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop customized solution
narratives, operating models, transition approaches, and value propositions.

Articulate ROI, productivity improvements, cost optimization opportunities,
and transformation benefits.

Develop business cases and commercial proposals for outsourcing, managed
services, and transformation engagements.

Ensure proposed solutions align with relevant financial controls, compliance
requirements, and industry best practices.
3. Technical & Domain Expertise

Maintain deep knowledge of Finance & Accounting processes, Shared
Services, Global Business Services, Intelligent Automation, AI, Analytics,
and Digital Transformation.

Provide expert-level insights into service offerings, operating models, and
transformation frameworks.

Stay updated on industry trends, finance transformation initiatives,
automation technologies, and emerging AI-led solutions.

Understand compliance frameworks such as SOX, IFRS, US GAAP, internal
controls, audit requirements, and risk management practices.
4. Sales Enablement & Customer Engagement

Support sales teams with solution presentations, client workshops,
capability demonstrations, and proposal reviews.

Participate in client meetings and executive discussions to influence
decision-making.

Develop sales collateral, case studies, thought leadership content, and
competitive intelligence.

Act as a trusted advisor to CFO organizations, Finance Transformation
leaders, and Shared Services stakeholders.

Provide market insights on F&A outsourcing, GBS evolution, automation
adoption, AI-enabled finance operations, and industry best practices.
Qualifications & Skills
-
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Business
Administration, or related field (MBA/CA/CMA preferred).

15+ years of experience in Pre-Sales, Solution Consulting, Finance
Transformation, BPM, Shared Services, or Solution Architecture.

Strong understanding of Finance & Accounting processes including R2R,
P2P, O2C, FP&A, Treasury, and Tax.
-
Experience in large-scale outsourcing, managed services, and transformation
solutioning.

Excellent communication, presentation, proposal writing, and stakeholder
management skills.

Experience with proposal tools, CRM platforms, pricing models, and
collaboration tools.
Preferred Attributes

Certifications such as CA, CPA, CMA, Six Sigma, Lean, PMP, or ITIL.

Experience supporting global clients across North America, EMEA, and APAC
regions.
